THE BEST OF HOOD RIVER

Mosier Plateau Trail

Just 10 minutes from town, this family friendly, 3-mile loop serves wildflowers, waterfalls, and Gorge views worth the climb. Start your morning here and you’ll have plenty of time for lunch after.

Hood River Event Site

Catch rays while windsurfers catch air at this laid-back, family-friendly waterfront park on the Columbia. With grassy hangouts, front-row views, and smoothies nearby, core memories are made here.

Oak Street Stroll

Bookstores, galleries, gear shops, and gifts. This walkable street turns “just looking” into “just bought it” with small-town charm and serious style. Find something local and special to take home.

Cathedral Ridge Winery & Tasting

Just west of town, Cathedral Ridge serves award-winning wines and views that stretch as far as the vines. Walk in, grab a lawn seat, sample a self-guided flight, and enjoy the welcoming, relaxed vibe.

Bridge of the Gods

This family-friendly day trip starts with a scenic drive and a stroll across the Bridge of the Gods, a cantilever bridge with Gorge views. Don’t miss the Bonneville Fish Hatchery, where all 10 feet of Herman the Sturgeon steals the show.

Scenic Fruit Loop

Cruise through vineyards, farm stands, and orchards on this 35-mile loop through the Hood River Valley. From U-pick to cider sips, the season stretches from late spring to fall. Maps available at the front desk.

Western Aeroplane & Automobile Museum (WAAAM)

Minutes from downtown, WAAAM puts history in motion with vintage planes that fly and cars that cruise. Great for families, visit on Second Saturday to see it come to life.

Mosier Creek Falls

Ten minutes from town, this two-tiered waterfall is made for summer afternoons. Hike in, cool off in the swimming hole, and picnic by the falls. Perfect for families, this easy hike is full of canyon views with a waterfall soundtrack.

Panorama Point

This drive-up viewpoint serves sweeping views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, and the orchard-filled Hood River Valley. With picnic tables and views for miles, pack a snack and take your time here.

The Hood River Lavender Farm

From mid-June to September, stroll rows of lavender with Mt. Hood views. Visit midday, sip lemonade, and leave smelling like summer, no matter the season. The farm’s retail shop is open year-round.

Stave & Stone Winery

Just minutes from town, this vineyard perch serves estate wines with Mt. Adams and Gorge views, and room to unwind. Sip wine on the patio, catch weekend live music, and let golden hour do the rest.

Ruins Tuesday

This concert series turns the historic remains of an old fruit cannery into magic every Tuesday. Live music, food, and drinks under the lights. Just $5 before 7pm, and $10 after. Tickets at the door.
