EAT WELL, GATHER OFTEN
At Lightwell, meals aren’t just about what’s on the table, they’re about the people around it: who you’re dining with, along with our local farmers, vintners, and chefs. Oysters and sparkling wine on the Rooftop as the sun dips low, the perfect pastry for the day ahead at Basecamp. In between, a local red, shared plates, and stories in the Lobby Bar.
Café & Provisions
Part coffee shop, part provisions hub, all about the day ahead. Basecamp brews Proud Mary coffee strong enough to wake up your legs. Grab-and-go goods and just right plates are made for mornings on the move or afternoons on the trail. Pick up local wine, craft beer, and orchard fresh snacks. Head out fueled up and ready to roam.
Cocktails & Appetizers
It’s a little unbuttoned, a little rowdy, always welcoming. Affectionately known as “The Bob,” inspired by Bob Carnahan, a charismatic structural engineer who championed our dream of Lightwell and tossed us the keys, we’re giving our guests that same, warm welcome in the Lobby Bar. Toast to the day with a fall cocktail and bar snacks on the way. Claim a game table, tuck into a quiet corner, or grab a seat at the bar, where a quick bite stretches into one more round.
Aprés Bar, Gorge Views
Up here, the Columbia River Gorge steals the spotlight. Oysters hit the ice. Wine chills in buckets. Plates disappear as fast as stories flow. From après-surf snacks to golden-hour toasts, flavors are fresh, stories get a little wilder, and the Gorge puts on a show.
Opening Winter 2025
When our doors open this winter, expect a menu rooted in connection and creativity: house-made pickled veggies with whipped feta, hand-cut za’atar fries and Columbia River salmon for the table. The warmth of Mediterranean cooking paired with the bounty of the Pacific Northwest. Plates will be seasonal, shareable, and built to complement the moment. Coming this winter for dinner, lively conversation, and the kind of polish that looks great with a little dust from the trail.
