FRUIT LOOP
-
This iconic 35-mile scenic drive through a valley situated at the foothills of Pacific Northwest mountains features 30+ on-the-farm fruit stands, wineries, breweries, cideries, and flower fields. In-season summer fruits include strawberries, cherries, blueberries, peaches, pears, lavender and other U-Pick flowers.
WINERY SPOTLIGHTS
STAVE & STONE
Follow the tree lined drive to Stave & Stone’s tasting room with views of Mt. Hood to the right, and their garden, gift shop and ice cream silo to the left. The “Stone” in the name is a nod to their onsite boulders and “Stave” holds a double definition referring to a rib of a wine barrel and the owner’s family name.
PHELPS CREEK
A boutique winery nestled between steep slopes, pine trees and a babbling creek focusing on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varietals. Phelps Creek offers classic tastings, educational tastings, full tours and behind-the-scenes production tastings.
SYNCLINE WINERY
Two winemakers, Poppie and James fell in love and created their own vineyard. Since then, Syncline has built its reputation as a creative, limited production, autonomous estate winery sourcing varietals from their own estate, around the Gorge, Horse Heaven Hills, Red Mountain and Yakima Valley. Enjoy a bottle, in-room, with our Romance package.
COR CELLARS
Pouring with the mantra, “Good wine pleases the human heart.” The husband and wife team started with traditional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and have since grown into fun and experimental wines like their Sauv Blanc, Tacai Friulano, and Carbonic Primitivo. Sip on your favorites in their hillside open air tasting room or lavender-filled garden.
CATHEDRAL WINERY
Lovers of big, bold reds, blends and crisp white wines, Cathedral is for you. Discover Columbia River Gorge’s only barrel viewing room and vineyard exhibit room. And while you’re there, ask about the Native American love story, legend of Mt Hood and nearby volcanoes.
